Trilling, squeaking
chirping, tweeting
Tutting to the trembling trees
Timbres of the thrushes three
Flitting, sighing
Fleeting flying
Flapping to the sounds they find
Splitting sides in branches nine
Cawing - crawing
Cooing, calling
Pleading to the preening bunch
Feeding beaks their insect lunch
Droning babblers,
Drongo crowds
Indian peafowl;
Peacock yowl
Singing, prancing
but yearning now
How far they know
how much they've come
Distant gargles
and whistling bells,
If it's shrike or coucal
I can seldom tell
But they're all to thank —
when the sweet sounds swell.

Went on a long walk around campus. I think I can write about this place over and over infinitely. I'm in my final year, I'll miss this place so much when I leave. Aches to think. Blue evenings, How orange headlights hit the weeds and dandelions beyond the basketball court. The bush crickets' hum. My heart stretches indefinitely like the sun. Might have to cry a bit now. Thanks for reading tho <3
