3 Short Poems

TIME

time runs

as the coaches of a train

passengers,

falling like flies.

track after track,

burning,

screeching,

covered in smoke and stench,

bleeding memories.

LISTERINE

15 minutes of friendship

listerine rinse

it burns, then you spit

i think if I've ever been

such a clinical thing

an obligatory wince

doesn't ache but you grit

till it slowly quits

sliding down the sink

mouth still

tingling.

JIGSAW

can you hold me while i fall apart

gently but i'll break right in your arms

the tighter you go, the faster i'll fold

just pieces for your palms

your own jigsaw.

I'm really starting to hate the font on this website but I don't have any other options (or I don't know how to add fonts on wix) ANYHOO, I text myself a thousand poems on whatsapp, half-baked, unfinished, small, ranty etc. you get the vibe. Today (17/06/2024- around 2 am) I compiled those from one of my many chats (i am a pain in the arse to myself in these times). AND here are three poems I think are pretty swell. Humble opinion. Leave a heart at the corner if you liked this.

Yeah ok Toodles!

This song. I want to wrap it around you. A shawl; Not a scarf around the neck, nor a hood for your tender ears. I want it to enclose you. Absorb you As it has me, already; I am in it. Join me, dearest
