Ghost/Letting Go

i was a ghost of this haunt

but its been so peaceful

since i've been gone.

the people seem so happy?

guess i was

misguided;

calling it home,

where i was not invited.

todays the day i'll leave

goodbye dear house,

goodbye to the town.

you've been a pet,

and i've been a peeve;

i've made the ruins

a palace in my dreams .

goodbye to the walls,

goodbye to the roof;

it's time I find a road,

to some new door,

i'll haunt you no more-

for even a ghost can let go.
