still alive

still alive

crawling through

the mud

waiting for the first

drops of rain

there are scratches

there are scrapes

a thunderstorm is shy in its wake

slumbering

struggling

into

day

roaring sunshine peeping in

i am i am

i am

a fleeting butterfly

drunk from heat

droll or drowsy

staggering through

ripe fruit and fox

yes

grapevine fate

bloom

as monsoon

washes us dry

so thirsty with fear

humid-ity

oh just as jasmine

waits

so do i

for

water and light

water and land

still alive

still alive.

READ THIS!

ok so a few people i talk to about my blog say that sometimes they cant find "the message/meaning" of a poem and therefore! they cant enjoy it boo hoo.

Im not here to tell anybody what poetry should or shouldn't be. But my motive when i post these is to make you 'feel' something as opposed to convey something tangible? what makes me obsessed with poetry is feeling over Pointing to absolute rational meanings. Aaaand the biggest reason why i have this blog is to share that exact wonderful experience !!!!

To kinda build off of that concept, here's a very vivid imagery-packed poem MADE TO FEELabstract poem and NO explanations. hmph that's right, struggle on thy own, measly peasant xD

idk, i really like this. it's the first i wrote this year too.

oh btw Healthy New Year to you all :D hope you're safe and crackin

erm

toodles!
