Questions?

What is love but a shared ignorance

Sitting in the light of our smiles

singing songs we know not words to

Feeling woes burn softly inside

like hotsprings weak

We lay like sweet lemon grass beside gurgling water

blue birds cooing in our hearts

We light these candles knowing they will extinguish

warm wax puddle of grief at it’s feet

What is love if not my yearning to give

all the melodies to your words

To dance even whenst a beat goes amiss

and the floor trips us thrice

Tell me, tell me now, passing cloud;

darling rain, what is love if not a taste of forever?

Ever changing picture on the puzzle

making broken cardboard whole.

Oh! now that chirping begins

to fade, light flickers

on a jigsaw done halfway-

I must go to sleep,

For what is love,

but my patience

to find answers in tomorrow?
